Gd Bye 2008!

In less than 24hrs, yr 2008 will come to an end. This 1 yr is a whole new experience for me. Not to mention the emotional trauma I had gone thru, it marks a new chapter of life for me --- stepping into working life.

So what have I done in 2008?

1. Firstly, and most importantly, I have graduated! The ambition of wearing a mortar board since pri sch has finally been fulfilled!

2. As promised, my parents sponsored me my graduation trip to korea. Its my first time travelling overseas with frens and on our own.

3. Found a job. Shall give it a nicer name --- Educational officer. Haha

4. When on a short trip to M'sia wif frens. Yah I usually dun travel overseas with frens. Somehow I miss the family trip. Shall do it next yr.

5. Oh yah, my 1st time going for holi using my own money. Dad used to pay for all my holi last time. Now I realise its not tat cheap to go for holi. Imagine how much Dad has to pay for the entire family when we go on holi to countries like USA and aussie etc etc. It can easily cost more than 10K per trip. To think I have travelled a no. of places and my Dad being the sole breadwinner, I really look up to him.

6. My first bonus! So happy :)

Well, I din really do much in 2008. Most of the time revolves ard work. Hopefully 2009 will be a great yr ahead for me.

Updating...

Haven been blogging for a long long time. Came across a blog of an old sec fren today and that reminded me of my own blog. Almost forgot the password to the blog account. I can feel the effect of the age catching up with me. Trust me, I m not that old. But I m no longer as energize as compared to last time. I slept quite early (comparatively) at ard 11 pm everyday. And if i have to go to work the next day, I will try to slp at 10.30pm. Sleeping too late the nite b4, will make me restless the next day. Probably its the nature of my work. But I think its a healthy living lifestyle. I am so used to it that I had decided not to go to the halloween party with my frens last fri.

Holiday is ard the corner. Looks like many ppl ard me are going off for holiday in Dec. Initially was planning to stay in sg for the whole of Dec cos travelling nd $ u see. And the thing is I have juz started working for a few mths. Not very wise to dig out what I have saved for the past few mths and spend it on travelling. I have juz gone to korea in May (although its sponsored by dad) and if i go on holi now, I feel the pinch to dig my $ out. OK i m such a miser. Bleah. But my theory is that I can save more now and go somewhere further next yr. Sounds more sensible rite? Well if i really wanna go, I will choose a nearer destination for now.

Basically there is pretty much nothing I can complain abt my life now. I m happy with my work, happy with my frens and colleagues ard me. In short, I m a happy person. :)

Finally an entry

My blog has been growing cobwebs. No time to blog, or rather, abit lazy to blog. I wonder if my blog is still being read thou. After facing the com in the office for so long, juz feel like nua-ing (slacking) once i reach home. Take shower, watch tv, playing my new love --- pinky ds lite, and then slp. slp being most impt of all. And gosh, i have put on weight for the past few mths. Jialat. I better do something abt it before my cousin's wedding. Dun wanna look like a pinky piggy in a dress.

Have a quite no. of photos that has yet been uploaded. Will do it soon. I hope. :P

My bro in my graduation gown, together wif his pajamas. Lol. His head is pretty small too since he can wear my mortarboard.

Went to Vivocity to watch Red Cliff with Mum ytd. Had a great lunch at Modesto, shopped ard, and then went for the movie.

I quite like the movie thou. And this movie chose the right person to play the different roles. I nv thought Zhu Ge Liang would be so gd looking until I had watched this movie.

My all time fav Takashi Kaneshiro.

My intuition has nv been so accurate. Juz received my posting ytd and I was posted to the school which I thought I would most probably be posted. And one of the training programme clashed with my convocation! How sad. Hmph...

Well, I just have to wait for my 1st day of work to come.

1-week m'sia trip

I went M'sia again 2 weeks ago. The main aim is actually to bring my bro for a short trip after his POP.

Our main destination was Genting Highland where we had not been to for at least the past 5 yrs. I dunno y this place has nv cross our mind whenever we went m'sia.

Coincidentally, we booked the same hotel as my cousin and his family. See the 2 阿宾哥in the picture above? My bro and cousin.

Genting is a place to relax due to its weather. The rides are more or less the same. We went bowling, movie watching etc etc. Oh, and snookering...

My dad was our instructor. He really knows how to play it well.
But for me, I m a hopeless case. I suck at ball games. Think more practise is needed for me.

And of cos, besides all the recreation stuffs, I had been fed wif good food thru out my stay there. I ended up gaining 2 kg after one week stay in m'sia. Probably its cumulative (started from the time i went to korea).

Sparkling Korea - Day 8

Breakfast. Our tour guide said the instant noodle was a must try. Really not too bad.
We went back to 女人街 to buy the heels we saw the day before. After which, we rushed back to the hotel to check out and proceeded to Incheon International Airport.

This luxurious coach was the air transfer trnasport we took from ou hotel to Incheon International Airport. Each person cost 14,000 won. It's not cheap but it comfortable and convenient. Worth the money.

The trip from our hotel to the airport was abt an hour.

At the end of the trip, I had 2 additional bags.

Shufang had 3.

Upon checking in, we went to Paris Croissant for lunch. The pastries were delicious.
Noe what this is? Its an electronic device which will light up and vibrate when ur drinks are ready.
Like this. Then bring this device to the counter to exchange for ur drink.

My last meal in Korea.

Love this Korea trip. It has been the happiest moment I had for the past few months. Looks like going for holi can make one unwind abit. Initially I was afraid that the 3 of us would face some prob during the one day extension as the tour guide wont be wif us. But it turned out well and was a very nice experience in exploring the place ourselves. Besides that, it was my 1st time going some faraway without my parents or teachers. I have proven to mum n dad tat I can tk gd care of myself. They shld be convinced that I can go on holi on my own or wif frens in future. :)

Sparkling Korea - Day 7

Fried 年糕 with chicken for lunch.
We then proceeded to 女人街 in Korea to shop. There were many shoes shops selling very nice heels there.

This is the place where shufang and I bought the angel T-shirt.

The rest of our tour mates came back to singapore after lunch. As the 3 of us extended one day, the rest of the afternoon was free and easy. We decided to tk a train back to our hotel before proceeding to Lotte World. This is the MRT ticket.

We had quite a number of roller coaster rides. Liping couldn't take it anymore. So ended up only Shufang and I went for the last ride. Felt gd to scream ur lungs out. haha.

When we reached our hotel, it was already quite late and most of the restaurants were closed. So we ended up eating donuts. Surprisingly, it was superb! (Not due to our hunger thou)

The Mysterious Rd

So why is it called a mysterious road? Explanations as follow.

After that, we flew back to Seoul and our 1st stop was the Kimchi School.
So we went to learn how to make kimchi. My kimchi. Looks decent, isn't it?
We got to wear tradition Korean Costume too.
Shufang got the nicest costume.
We had 硫磺鸭 (i think its called sulphur duck in english) for lunch.


Next stop - cultural street for some shopping.
