Received an sms from Dear at 3 am plus today. It made my day :D

The Best Surprise

11pm. I was about to brush my teeth when the door bell rang. Initially I tot its my parents who might have forgotten to bring the house keys. But to my surprise, it was my Dear! Dear came to see me before heading back to camp cos he will be away for this week as well. I am really happy and touched!

self-reflection

sometimes its good to take some time off to do some self-reflection. finally finished (sort of) all my assignment and is having a gd long holi before my real work starts in end of dec. thus its a gd time to do reflection and see what I have accomplished since graduation.

As I was reflecting, I realised I am quite contented with my current life. Why m i contented? The following are the reasons:

1) I quite like my job up till this point of time. Hopefully I will continue to like it when I am having the full workload. hee *cross fingers*

2) I have a happy family life. My Dad, Mum, Bro, and Dear.

3) Major event of the year: Dear and I bought a house! So we are doing financial planning for the next three yrs. Cost comes in for renovation, wedding, car (probably), and honeymoon.

4) I get to travel (for holi) at least once a yr.

5) And most imptly, I have someone whom loves me alot and I love alot too! You know who u r :D

Being contented doesnt mean not striving forward. of cos there are things that I wan to accomplish for the next few yrs. For work, I will let nature takes its own course. I hope that I will be able to start my Masters degree 2 yrs later. Hopefully I will still have the motivation to do it by that time. :D

Side note: Now i realise the importance of having a recognised degree. Its always gd to enter a local uni rather than going to private. saves time and saves $$$. :D

Dear is on deployment again! apparently he has quite a no. of deployment in oct and nov. cant wait for him to be back (m counting down.. :D)

He bought me a cookie recipe book last sat. see.. he got intentions one.. he wants me to bake more cookies for him! haha.. I m going to try our one of the recipes probably tmr or this fri. Hopefully it works and he will be able to taste it when he comes bk. by the way, there are 500 recipes in the book! even if i tried one recipe everyday, I will take ard 1.5 yrs to 2 yrs to finish trying all.

its in the month of nov now. I will be going to m'sia to attend my cousin's wedding at the end of nov. Dear will be going to with me this time rd! it will be a huge gathering for my maternal relatives and my sg cousin's gf will be going too! So glad that Dear can make it!!! hehe

but before I got overly excited, i better get down to do work (my 2500 words essay).

memorable times...

was looking at the photos which I took during a trip to korea last yr and I muz say I really miss those times. Its nice travelling with ur best of pals and I would want to go on a holi trip with them (sf and lp) again! Its true tat u get to know ur pals better while travelling toge. Its is also not easy if each person has different habits. But luckily the 3 of us did not have much of a problem with that. We did not have the prob of kicking while slping in bed, snoring, making toilets dirty etc etc, like what I heard from my other frens. what makes the korea trip memorable was the fusing of light bulb in the toilet (in the korea village) when I was showering half way. SF n LP ended up having to shower using torch light! What makes e trip even more memorable was the crazy last min shoping for shoes a few hours before our flight bk to sg. I love those times...

Let's organize a trip toge next yr! (Hopefully lp n sf can join me in the taiwan trip this yr!)

surprised!

met up with my sec school besties today. we had a great time chatting at starbucks and billy b., recalling our sec sch times and our unforgettable Korea trip! We muz go on a trip toge again! N I received a surprise bday pressie from them! initially i thot that they have forgotten abt it cos I din rcv any sms from them on that day. But in fact they did! So happy :D its not the pressie that is impt. Its the thot that they still remem even each of us have a busy working schedule now. Even if its jus a simple sms would make my day! thanks alot sf and lp :D
