Sparkling Korea - Day 1

I have been back from Korean since last friday and I slacked till now to do an entry. Simply too tired.

On contrary to my previous post, I got rather excited that nite when I reached Changi Airport to take a flight to Korea. The flight was at 10.40pm and as usual, we had to reach the airport 2 hrs in advance to do our check in and everything. Finally got the chance to use the automated custom check pt this time rd. Waved my parents gd-bye, and there, I went in. I knew my parents would miss me. Haha.

In the plane before it took off.

The journey to Korea was rather short, approximately 5.5 to 6 hrs. Comparing this length of time to my journey to USA yrs back, 6 hrs was nothing.

We reached Incheon International Airport at 5.30 am Korean time. Btw, Korea is only 1 hr ahead of us.

Incheon International Airport actually provides magnifying glasses for the elderly.

While waiting for our coach.

We headed to Everland in the morning and spent half a day there.

Leaving the airport.

Road in Korea.

Reached Everland at ard 9.30 am.

We 1st went to the safari. Animals were running freely in there, while we were touring in the air-conditioned coach, having a close encounter with them.

As it was spring in Korea, the animals were usually very active. We were able to catch a pair of bear in action --- mating.

This was our lunch.
After the lunch, we went for our roller coaster ride --- T express. This is the newest and most exciting ride in Korean. Made entirely of wood and it has the steepest down slope. We queued for 1 hr for the 3 mins ride. It was e most excited roller coaster ride I ever have. I could feel myself being flanked out of my seat during every twist and turn. Its a must try!

See the roller coaster track behind?

We went to watch Korean Traditional Performing Arts --- Wedding in the Snow.

The cast and us.

Next came dinner.

We had BBQ pork. Yummy!
